Playing Golf in Portugal: the Boavista Course
The Boavista Golf Course in Portugal is an inviting area that has plenty of green and wide open spaces. It is in close proximity to the area of Lagos. There are water areas and bunkers that really add to the golf adventure while being in great location with beautiful weather. You can book tee time practically all year around as there are a number of options for the average player. The following points offer additional insight to consider about playing golf on the Boavista Golf Course.
Playing on the Course
The golf course has a unique design with 18 holes at par 71. There are two different sections that make up the golf course players can tackle. Some of the holes are interesting in nature with challenges many can’t wait to try. Other holes have an attractive look that makes them easier for golfers to be relaxed before taking their shot. Green fees are reasonable all year round with discounts available depending on when you book. Players can enjoy a pro shop, chipping greens, putting green and academy. This is a great place to brush up your skills or take on more challenging plays.
Scenery and Golf Course Design
The Boavista Golf Course features a number of rolling fairways throughout the course. There are also a few Umbrella pine trees that are pleasant to view while posing a hazard at certain holes. Other trees throughout the course include olive and palm. Some of these trees pose more challenges to golfers along with water hazards and strategically placed bunkers throughout the grounds. A number of golf players absolutely adore the Atlantic Ocean views next to the course. Most holes have visual views of the ocean which can make your situation a little more calming.
What Else Can You Do When Off the Golf Course?
The Boavista Golf Course offers great activities when you’re on and off the course. This course is a family-friendly option for those traveling with children. Kids can play by the ocean or on the kids playground provided by the golf course. Visitors can enjoy the fitness gym and spa and the heated indoor pool (great for after playing your rounds). Snacks and a bar are available along with a full service restaurant. When you are on the course a driving range is available along with golf lessons.
